WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Bland County Board of Supervisors to acknowledge and recognize the Bland County Public Schools Girls Tennis Team for their historic athletic achievement and dedication to excellence; and

WHEREAS, the Girls Tennis Team has secured the state title, marking the first time a Bland County team has won a state championship since the team became known as the Bland County Bears; and

WHEREAS, the team demonstrated remarkable skill and determination throughout the season, concluding with an outstanding overall record of 23-1; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Tinley Worley distinguished herself through exceptional performance, finishing the season with an undefeated record of 24-0; and

WHEREAS, the success of the State Tournament Team—comprised of Tinley Worley, Addison Myers, Kendall Worley, Alysia Lopez, Annabelle Rasnake, Laiken Wolfe, and Cohen Wright—is a testament to their hard work, talent, and commitment; and

WHEREAS, the team's success was further bolstered by the leadership of Head Coach Jonathan Romano, who was named both Region C Coach of the Year and Bland County Coach of the Year.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED that the Bland County Board of Supervisors does hereby honor and congratulate the Bland County Public Schools Girls Tennis Team for their state title victory and for bringing great pride to the citizens of Bland County.
