Public Hearing - Public Input on Local Community Development in Relation to Community Development Block Grant

PUBLIC HEARING

Bland County will hold a public hearing on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 10:30 am at the Bland County Library, 697 Main St, Bland VA 24315 to solicit public input on local community development and housing needs in relation to Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding in our community.

Information on the amount of funding available, the requirements on benefit to low- and moderate-income persons, eligible activities, and plans to minimize displacement and provide displacement assistance as necessary will be available. Citizens will also be given the opportunity to comment on the County’s past use of CDBG funds. All interested citizens are urged to attend. SECOND PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

Bland County will hold a public hearing on Monday, December 12, 2022 at 10:30 am at the Bland County Library, 697 Main St, Bland VA 24315 to solicit public input on local community development in relation to Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Local Innovation proposal to be submitted to the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) for the Bland Ministry Center Dental Clinic Project.  Residents are encouraged to attend.  The Project proposal will include the following activities: Funds will be used to pay a portion of the costs of equipment and construction to build new dental clinic. This new facility will enable the clinic to double patient capacity. 

Information on the amount of funding available, the requirements on benefit to low- and moderate-income persons, eligible activities, and plans to minimize displacement and provide displacement assistance as necessary will be available. Citizens will also be given the opportunity to comment on the County’s past use of CDBG funds. All interested citizens are urged to attend.
