Friday, July 27, 2018, community enthusiasm was demonstrated in Bland County as First Sentinel Bank held its Grand Opening Celebration.

“On behalf of the Economic Development Authority, we welcome First Sentinel Bank to Bland County,” stated David Dillow, Chairman of the Bland County Economic Development Authority. “Bland County has a strong local economy and it is exciting anytime we can celebrate the growth of an existing or new business.”

“Today was another good day for Bland County,” stated Stephen Kelley, member of the Bland County Board of Supervisors. “Not only did Bland County obtain another business, we gained another business that is an active supporter of the community. Bland County is fortunate to have such a strong and supportive business community. We welcome First Sentinel Bank and we wish them, and all businesses in Bland County, much success.”

This is the seventh branch of First Sentinel to open in the region and approximately five full-time employees will work at the branch.
