Mount Rogers Health District Offers Online Waitlist for Vaccine Appointments

(Marion, Va.) – Mount Rogers Health District residents can now complete an online survey that will place them on a waiting list for COVID-19 vaccine appointments. The survey can be found at https://redcap.link/MRGwaitlist.

Everyone who wants to get a vaccine through a Mount Rogers Health District clinic should complete this online survey. Completing the survey is not scheduling an appointment or a guarantee of an appointment. Health district staff will use the list generated by this survey to contact eligible individuals to schedule an appointment as vaccines become available.

Everyone who calls the local health department to inquire about a vaccine will be directed to sign up via this online survey. Those who do not have internet access should call their local health department and a staff member will complete the survey on their behalf.

“If you are interested in a vaccine and have the ability to fill out the survey online, please do so,” said Karen Shelton MD, health director. “This will help keep our phone lines open for those who do not have internet access.”

The Virginia Department of Health previously made available an eligibility tool to help individuals determine their vaccination phase. This eligibility tool was not a registration or waitlist, and those who completed it and are still interested in a vaccine should complete the Mount Rogers Health District survey.

Community partners, listed on the Mount Rogers Health District vaccine website at www.vdh.virginia.gov/mount-rogers/vaccine/, are still scheduling appointments. However, vaccine allocation for community partners and local health departments remains extremely limited, and appointments will also be limited.
