Rocky Gap is the site of a new business opening in Bland County and members of the Board of Supervisors and Economic Development Authority celebrated with company officials on Thursday, December 17th with a ribbon cutting event.

“Interstate Truck & Auto Repair is open for business and we are excited to be providing automotive and truck repair services to the public,” stated company officials Lee and Johnathan Hagan. The pair of company officials continued, “that they would be open five days a week and a half day on Saturday providing services to include oil changes, tires, and basic auto repair.” Karen Hodock, Supervisor for the Rocky Gap District welcomed the Hagans and their new business stating, “It is wonderful to see another business open in Bland County and the Rocky Gap community.” The new business is located at 12704 North Scenic Hwy at the intersection with Route 61.

“Bland County has a strong business community, and we welcome Interstate Truck & Auto Service and wish them much success,” stated David Dillow, chair of the Bland County Economic Development Authority. He continued, “small businesses and entrepreneurships provide a strong foundation to any business community and we are pleased to be able to support businesses with events such as today.”

All the members of the Board of Supervisors to include Karen Hodock as well as Randy Johnson, Stephen Kelley, and Adam Kidd echoed support of Interstate Truck & Auto Service and small businesses across the Bland County community with the combined statement, “The businesses in Bland County are our friends and neighbors. Many of the small businesses have ties to Bland County that have been around for generations. It is important that we continue to support each other, not only in challenging economic times, such as COVID-19, but always. The Board of Supervisors and the Economic Development Authority are always excited to welcome new businesses to the community and celebrate the expansion of existing businesses. However, we must not forget all the businesses that have served the community for years. We encourage everyone to support all the local businesses in Bland County as much as you can.”
