Yesterday severe spring storms took a turn for the worse and brought devastation to communities within Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Tennessee. Red Cross disaster relief workers are on the ground as I write this, providing urgently needed assistance including food, water, shelter, clean-up supplies and emotional support to those impacted.
Our hearts and prayers go out to the families in affected communities. If you or a loved one need assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to get help.
Unfortunately, the threat of severe weather continues for many states across the country including Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina. Be sure that you and your loved ones are prepared and stay safe. View disaster preparedness tips or download one of our free preparedness apps to your mobile phone today.
The Red Cross responds to a disaster nearly every 8 minutes of every day.
Thanks,
Bridget
